 Imperative

Imperative sentence is a sentence used to make command, request, or instruction.
Imperative sentences generally end in exclamation but can also ended by a period. In commonly used imperative sentence procedural texts are those that function as instructions and commands.
There is also a negative imperative that serves to show that we are not allowed to do something. Let's take a look at some examples imperative sentence below :
Add a glass of coconut milk into a pan and then boil it.
Do not spray water on the control panel of the washing machine.
Remove the tonner catridge carefully.
Serve it warmly in the rice bowl.

Must and Mustn't

Must be used to state that we must do important things.
e.g. : You must press the on button to start the machine.
Mustn't is used to state that we are forbidden to do something.
e.g. You musn’t refill the ink before it runs out.

 Adverb 

Adverb is a word that describes a verb, adjective, or adverb Other. An adverb usually consists of an adjective + ly such asslowly, suddenly, strongly.


TIPS FOR WRITING A GREAT PROCEDURAL TEXT
✓ Above all else explain what has to be done.
✓ Keep everything in order.
✓ List all the items that will be required to complete the task.
✓ Keep your instructions short, sharp and to the point.
✓ Use the correct language and terms.
✓ Find or create some labelled diagrams if possible.
✓ Use paragraphs effectively. Each new element of your information

✓ Procedural texts are always written in present tense and from a
third person perspective.

Prosedure Text || Chapter 3 Part 1

What is procedure text?

Procedure text is a text that explains, informs, or helps the reader on how to make or use something. The purpose of procedure text is to show how something is made/used/done through sequence of steps. In other words, procedure text is used to describe one by one how something can be created or achieved. Through procedure text, you will find it easier to understand and read instructions on how to do things in the correct order.

Practice 4 


Goal : To tell how to Cook Rice In A Rice Cooker.
Step : 
1. First, rinse a cup of rice in cold water. Rub the rice softly under the running
water. Do not rub the rice too long, because it will lose the nutrients. Wash the
rice once again. Then drain the water from the rice.
2. Next, add a cup of water. If ou cook rice using an electronic rice cooker, pay
attention to the water ratio. The rice and the water ratio is usually 1 part rice
to 1 part water.
3. Then, place the cooking pot in the rice cooker properly. Cover the pot. Select
the cooking button right after the light on the rice cook cook turns.
4. Finally, when the rice has been cooked and is resilent , flip through the rice
very gently using a rice spatula.
